Terms and Conditions

 

(1) By you, the customer, accessing this website and pages of this website, adhere to and aknowledge the notices, and agree to the Terms and Conditions, as set out below.

(2) eConsumption Limited (Company number 08275085) owns and operates this website. The domain name
econsumption.co.uk and smartconsumption.co.uk along with the logos are the property of eConsumption Limited. (3) When you make a successful order online you will receive a confirmation email (enter your email details carefully) confirming the goods you have just ordered (If not in your mailbox, please check 'junk' or 'spam'). (4) It is your duty to check the confirmation email for errors, so please try to do this to avoid unforeseeable mistakes. (5) We then try our upmost to process the order within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with the delivery method you selected on the check-out page. If however, under the rare circumstance, the goods cannot be processed and delivered in a reasonable timeframe, then we will update you immediately by email advising you on the situation, and if there is to be a further delay, it is up to you as the
customer to determine whether you wish to continue with the order regardless or use the opportunity to cancel your order. (6) Delays can occur from a stock error, although we monitor product stock levels, mistakes can happen. (7) When you make an order on our website and we dispatch/ship your items, you will receive an email update informing you of the dispatch and you can be sure that your goods have been sent out for delivery (Also, please check your spam or junk folders for the notification emails). (8) If however, you have not received the goods within 7 working days (that is not including bank holidays), then you should contact us immediately at info@econsumption.co.uk (9) If you want to cancel an order, we have a returns policy were you notify us within seven working days after taking delivery of the goods. The seven working days are also known as a "cooling off" period. Fill in a cancellation/returns form clearly stating your customer details in full, invoice/order number and reasons for cancellation. (10) Please note however, if the goods were sent using a delivery service that required a signature upon delivery, and no signature was obtained, you cannot complete the cancellation process and no refund will be issued. (Payments and refunds are handled through PayPal). (11) Once you have decided to cancel, and sent us the cancellation form, it is your legal 'duty of care' to take responsibiltiy of the goods. Please return the goods, at your own expense, in suitable packaging which will not allow for damage in transit, preferably using a recorded delivery service, or an insured courier service for larger items. Then label the packaging with the cancellation number and send it to the postal address we provide you in a response email to your cancellation form. (12) Once we have possession again of the goods, and we recognise that they have been returned in a good condition, you can expect a refund for the full amount paid within 30 working days. (13) Some LED lighting products may strongly recommend you use a qualified electrician to install them, we may be unable to provide a refund if there are problems caused by not using a qualified electrician. (14) Some LED lighting products also recommend related products, such as LED drivers for them to operate to their full potential, so please be advised on this. (15) Please be aware that there is no warranty set in place for products we sell currently, unless stated in the product's description tab. Although we do intend to implement a warranty guarantee in the forseeable future on a selection of our products, and we will be updating the Terms and Conditions accordingly.(16) Compensation for goods will not be provided if there are losses that were foreseeable to both parties when the contract was made, losses that were not caused by any breach on our part and business losses and/or losses to non customers. eConsumption Limited will have no liability (other than imposed by the unfair contract terms of 1977), for any direct injury, loss or damage whatsoever, if the cause thereof lies beyond the reasonable control of the company. (17) We inspect each individual product before we send it out for delivery and package it securely and efficiently. (18) If the product is damaged upon taking delivery, notify us immediately at info@econsumption.co.uk and we shall contact the delivery service and apply for compensation. (19) If the product is not damaged but does not function as it should according to the description, then fill in a cancellation form detailing the defects within the cooling off period of seven working days.
